I am Döner will open its first site in London after signing its first franchise deal in the capital.

The Think Hospitality-backed kebab brand has signed a new franchise deal for a 30 seat site in Chalk Farm, Camden, to open later this year.

Facilitated by Seeds Consulting, the deal will see franchise partners Moshe and Agnieszka Forte operate London’s first I am Döner.

James Hacon, I am Döner chairman, said: ‘We are excited to sign this latest franchise deal and bring our brand to London, which will be the first of many within the capital. We look forward to conquering the capital with Moshe and Agnieszka.”

I am Döner is aiming to reach a global estate of 50 sites in the next two years, according to founder Paul Baron. The ‘better kebab’ brand currently operates stores in the Leeds, Harrogate, Headingley, and Bootle, along with a store in Dubai.

It recently signed its first forecourt franchise deal to open in Datchet, Windsor, this summer.

Seeds Consulting founder Matteo Frigeri said: “Another milestone in I Am Döner’s carefully planned expansion, Camden will showcase the franchise to the capital’s savvy operators: industry-leading margin and labour cost optimisation can lead to fantastic potential returns in a myriad of potential London sites. ”I am Döner is as hot as a franchise opportunity can get.”

Moshe and Agnieszka Forte added: “We first came across I am Döner last year, we loved the brand and its ethos, we knew we had to bring it to London.

”We are honoured to be the first franchisee to bring the brand to London. I can’t wait to showcase the brand later this summer.”
