MasterChef: The Professionals quarter finalist Elena Frattura and her twin sister Emily are set to launch a small Italian café restaurant on Brentford High Street next month.

Part of property developer Ballymore’s 1.2m sq ft The Brentford Project development, the 46-cover Rottura will offer tray baked pizza, small plates and special of the day dishes alongside coffee and pastries.

Elena appeared on MasterChef: The Professionals in 2021. Her CV includes La Trompette in Chiswick, Frog by Adam Handling in Covent Garden and Meadow in Ealing.

Her twin sister Emily is also a chef and runs a successful cake business in Ealing, where the pair grew up.

“The Brentford Project is such an appealing new neighbourhood with a fantastic atmosphere,” Emily says. “To be able to open here is the perfect launch pad for Rottura, which reflects our passion for Italy and desire to bring a little of its food, coffee and culture to West London, creating the perfect place in which to enjoy la dolce vita.”

Richard Pearce, senior development manager at Ballymore, added: “We take great care to select the relevant businesses for each of our developments.  In Brentford, it is important to get the right blend of smaller shops and independent retailers alongside some of the bigger national brand names.”

Other hospitality ventures set to launch in the West London development include Sam Harrison’s Sam’s Waterside and Sam’s Larder, Pret A Manger and Gail’s.
