Pieminister opens Derby restaurant
Pie purveyor Pieminister has opened its latest pie and mash shop, in Derby.

Located in a fromer betting shop on Victoria Street, the new restaurant is the 16th in the group.

Menu items include starters such as pork scratchings, and parsnip and kale fritters as well as its range of classic pies in options such as Tikke to Ride, Moolin Rouge, Fungi Chicken, Kate & Sidney, and Free Ranger.

Also available are its lighter filo pastry pies in options such as Light as Feta and Maroc Star.

The new restaurant serves bottomless brunches and cocktails as well as an express lunch meal deal on weekdays.

Pieminister was launched by Jon Simon and Tristan Hogg in Bristol in 2003 aftre the pair were inspired by the pie shops they frequented while travelling in Australia. It now operates restaurants in Manchester, Nottingham, Oxford, Sheffield, Birmingham, Cardiff and Bath.

The company is certified as B-Corp and is aiming to be carbon neutral by 2025.
