Called Faber, the new brand from the southeast-based pubco will reflect the operator’s drive towards championing British seafood, with Yummy Pubs founder Anthony Pender plotting to roll out the concept following the London launch.
“We’re very excited to announce that we have created a new British seafood restaurant concept as part of our Yummy Pub Collection,” he says.
The Villagio site will undergo a complete refit ahead of the relaunch.
“The character and composition of this property in Hammersmith makes it the perfect pilot site and we look forward to bringing the new restaurant to life,” continues Pender.
The deal for the site was brokered by David Wilson, associate director of Christie & Co’s London pubs and restaurants team.
“We are delighted to have secured Anthony Pender and Yummy Pub Company as the new tenant for this prime restaurant site and can’t wait to see it turned into the new ‘fresh fish for all’ restaurant concept, Faber,” says Wilson.
The sale is the latest transaction Christie & Co has completed with Yummy Pubs following the disposals last year of the Gorringe Park in Tooting, south London; and the Wiremill in Lingfield, Surrey.
Pender says that Yummy Pubs we will be working alongside Christie & Co to obtain a pipeline of sites to roll out the Faber concept over the next five years.
“We look forward to working with [Yummy Pubs] on future deals,” adds Wilson.
