Dessert franchise Heavenly Desserts will open its 50th restaurant in the UK this month with a further five in the works.

The brand will open a site in Tooting, London, on 22 July marking the seventh store in the London area and the 50th in the Heavenly Desserts franchise.

The 46-cover restaurant – formerly the Nawal sweet shop – will be opened by young trio of entrepreneurs Manoj Kumar Advani, Sundeep Kumar Ukrani and Dev Advani, in their first business venture together after finishing their undergraduate bachelor's degrees.

Heavenly Desserts launched in the UK in 2008 and serves a dessert tapas menu that includes mochis, milk cakes and cookie doughs, ice cream sundaes, and its signature croffle – a croissant-waffle combination topped with ruby chocolate and raspberry; Biscoff and white chocolate; or dark chocolate and pistachio.

“We’re thrilled to have reached such an important milestone, signifying our rapid growth over the last two years in particular. When I started the business in 2008 with my partner, Mohammed Imran, we had dreams to achieve this critical point in our development, so to see it happen in reality is really special,” says Yousif Aslam, managing director at Heavenly Desserts.

“The Tooting restaurant is in the heart of south London, near to a bustling high street and a vibrant food market, making it the perfect hotspot for local residents, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone with a dessert experience like no other.”
