Jason Atherton is to open a new Mayfair restaurant having secured a site on Bruton Place that was previously occupied by Les Platanes.

The 3,000sq ft site at 26-28 Bruton Place has been acquired by Atherton directly from the landlord, with Dean Gambles & Co acting on the deal.

“I am delighted to have secured this fully fitted site in Mayfair,” he says.

The restaurant on Bruton Place is one of two new Mayfair openings being planned by Atherton, who runs several venues in the capital under his The Social Company business including the Michelin-starred Pollen Street Social.

Back in March, Hot Dinners revealed that the chef had also acquired a site within a new building on Savile Row that will open later this year as Row on 5.

Spread over two floors, the restaurant will hold around 60 covers and offer a ‘multi-course dining experience’.

Alongside his London portfolio, Atherton also runs a series of international restaurants including Mykonos Social; 7 Tales in Dubai; and The Pig and Palm in Cebu, Philippines.
