Leiths School of Food and Wine to relocate

Leiths School of Food and Wine is moving to new premises in autumn 2025 to facilitate its growth.

The move is part of the London-based cookery school’s plans to evolve into wider culinary education and inspire a new generation of younger cooks.

The cookery school has launched an online based learning for children of 10 years and older, along with new CTH accredited Level 2 and CTH Level 3 cookery courses, all of which have been successfully piloted across state and private schools as well as a virtual school for looked-after children since 22 September 22.

It will now be rolling out these courses nationally.

The growth plans also reach across its online business with the further development of the Leiths Online Cookery School, which was launched five years ago.

Leiths, which is approaching its 50th anniversary, has been teaching at secondary level across a selection of UK schools for more than 25 years.

“As we approach our 50th anniversary, the time is right to revisit the vision our founder Prue Leith had to drive change in food through cookery education. Our mission has never wavered as we play our part in creating the talent to drive that change, from chefs and start-up entrepreneurs to writers, food developers and teachers,” says Leiths MD Camilla Scheideman.

“But now our vision is more ambitious as we bring our expertise and enthusiasm into cookery education for children and young adults alongside our online learning offering. To facilitate this, we will be moving to new premises late 2025, creating a new HQ to deliver our vision, bringing our two sites into one with multiple professional training kitchens for all ages, filming studio kitchens and more, and all with state of the art facilities.

"We are very excited about this new chapter and look forward to sharing more in due course."

The new location is yet to be disclosed, but will be near a major transport hub to ensure ease of access for staff and students, it says.
