The company opened its first kiosk in the supermarket chain in October 2018, in Sunbury-on-Thames, and announced it had just reached the 300-store mark with an opening at Tesco in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.
It follows openings in Brislington, Taunton, Ludlow and Holyhead in recent weeks, with 200 kiosks opened within the last year.
Each kiosk offers more than 50 items, including hand-rolled sushi, street food and ready meals such as chicken katsu curry.
The sushi brand is owned by Snowfox Group, which was acquired by Zensho Holdings earlier this month.
YO! says that more than one thousand people have been employed as sushi chefs since the start of the partnership and plans to expand its partnership with the retailer across the country.
“The opening of our 300th kiosk is a milestone moment for YO!. Our partnership with Tesco has continued to grow rapidly over the last year, with 200 additional kiosks opening throughout the country," says Christian Haas, YO!’s managing director, UK & Ireland.
“The ongoing popularity of our products highlights the growing love of sushi across the nation. We are seeing customers consistently return to our kiosks, which reflects the quality, affordability, and freshness of our ranges.
“We look forward to continuing to be the go-to lunch, dinner or grab-and-go snack location for Tesco customers up and down the UK.”
Snowfox Group owns the brands Snowfox, Bento, Taiko and YO! and operates around 2,300 kiosks globally as well as 65 restaurants, in the UK and North America.
