Napoli on the Road to launch second restaurant

Neapolitan pizzeria Napoli on the Road will open a second site in London next month.

Founder Michele Pascarella has chosen nearby Richmond for its second location, close to its debut restaurant in Chiswick, which opened in 2019.

 

Menu highlights will include pizzas such as the Cheesewick - topped with buffalo mozzarella DOP, ricotta cheese, stracciatella di bufala, blue stilton, parmesan chip and piennolo cherry tomato jam; Ricordi D’infanzia (which translates as childhood memories) - made with 12 hours slow-cooked ragu napoletano and 24 months parmigiano reggiano cream; and the new Tonno & Scarola, made with fior di latte from Caserta, escarole, semi-dry cherry tomato, tuna fillets from Cetara, black olive powder and a red onion reduction.

As with the original restaurant, the menu will changes every three months to respect the seasons.

“This is a really exciting launch for us – it’s incredible to be opening a new pizzeria in Richmond, which is all down to the support of our loyal customers. I can’t wait to introduce our seasonal flavours and unique way of doing things to the Richmond community,” says Pascarella.

Pascarella started his pizza business by driving his three-wheeler Ape Piaggio across London making wood-fired pizzas and was recently named Pizza Maker of the Year 2023 by 50 Top Pizza.
