Flat Iron to launch Cambridge restaurant next month
The opening marks the beginning of a push outside of London for the 12-strong group, with a restaurant in Manchester also on the cards.
The two floor Cambridge restaurant is housed in a Victorian building moments from Market Square and feature a ‘concise’ menu led by the brand’s signature ‘flat iron’ steak, which is priced at just £13.
As with its other Flat Iron sites, the menu will also serve a range of other steak cuts including sirloin and rib-eye, which can be ordered alongside sides such as beef dripping chips; roast aubergine with tomato and basil; creamed spinach; and crispy bone marrow garlic mash.
The restaurant’s interior has been overseen by Clare Nash and Applied Studio and will feature an original timber floor and white brick tiles.
Flat Iron was launched by Charlie Carroll on Soho’s Beak Street in November 2012.
The group’s second site outside of the capital, in Manchester, is also expected to launch this year with Flat Iron having acquired the former Blacks Outdoor Clothing shop on Deansgate.
