After testing their concept and launching their brand last year from a dark kitchen in central London, the due will be opening their first physical location at Foley Street in Fitzrovia next month.
The restaurant will serve authentic Spanish tortillas alongside starters, salads, cheese, and charcuterie such as hand-carved Ibérico ham.
Dishes on the menu will include tortillas in options such as classic, chorizo, jamon, courgette, as well as one made with fresh black truffle; alongside heuvos rotos (broken eggs) made with string-thin fried potatoes and a fried egg with either Ibérico ham or chorizo.
Other menu items will include a plate of manchego cheese; citrus salad; and a bocadillo with alioli or tomato. Only one dessert will be available - a caramelised torrija.
Broken Eggs was born from the nostalgia of the pair’s Mediterranean roots and culture, a desire for homemade food. "In Spain food is a very important part of culture, it is a way of socialising and connecting with others. This brand is exactly about that, the simple things in life and sharing moments with loved ones," they say.
