In an Instagram post, the Masterchef winner cited rising costs and the long-lasting effects of the pandemic on hospitality.
Bayside Social launched in 2021 following the success of Tutt and his wife Lucy’s Pitch restaurant.
Housed within a striking new luxury development on the West Sussex town’s promenade, the 40-cover restaurant is inspired by the Art Deco-styled beach clubs of Miami’s South Beach.
Its all-day menu offers an expansive menu of breakfast and brunch staples alongside a number of seafood-focused small plates.
“We’re sad to say that we will be closing Bayside Social in a couple of weeks,” the Tutt’s post reads. "We have loved being at this location on the beach, but with, we’ve made the decision to concentrate on our other site, Pitch in Worthing, and we’re really excited for what’s yet to come. A huge thank you to our customers - we look forward to seeing many of you here before we close, and hopefully at our other restaurants in the future.”
The pair also operate burger concession Patty Guy at Brighton’s Shelter Hall.
Bayside Social’s last day of trading will be 16 April.
