Singapore-based barbecue restaurant Burnt Ends is to open a second site in the UK this summer, in Harrods.

Founded by chef-owner Dave Pynt, the modern barbecue restaurant will join chefs including Bjorn Frantzen, Masayoshi Takayama, Tom Kerridge, and Jason Atherton at the Knightsbridge department store.

As first noted by Hot Dinners, the restaurant made the announcement on social media, writing: “If you haven’t heard already, Burnt Ends will be taking a second home in Harrods London in mid 2024.”

The move comes after the restaurant did a charity event with Frantzen, Atherton and Kerridge as part of the Harrods Table Event.

“We are looking forward to joining The Harrods dining experience,” it adds.

Burnt Ends is located in Singapore’s Dempsey Hill and serves modern Australian barbecue. It is known for its open kitchen that features a custom-built  four-tonne, dual cavity oven and four elevation grills with dishes cooked over wood.

The restaurant is currently ranked at number 94 on the 2022 San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants long List and at number 41 on the 2022 San Pellegrino Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants List.

It has held a Michelin star since 2018.
