Artisanal bakery and restaurant group Pophams has launched a new retail and workshop space next door to its site in London's Hackney.

Housed under the railway arches in London Fields, Pophams Home is split over two floors. The downstairs is dedicated to a retail offering, which features a 'carefully curated' collection of homewares; while upstairs is a purpose-built space for meetings and workshops.

Born out of the pandemic, Pophams Home began life online, selling ceramics, linens and glassware used across the bakeries.

Exclusively designed products include rolling pins crafted by Selwyn House; and scented candles made in collaboration with East London ceramicist Andrea Roman and Sussex-based candle maker Mahn House.

As part of the launch, Pophams will be using the upstairs to host a series of intimate workshops, collaborating with makers and UK-based artists. A programme of evening and afternoon sessions is available to book, all if which will be accompanied with food and drink from the next door bakery and restaurant.

Founded by Ollie Gold, Pophams launched its first site in Islington in 2017. It followed this with sites in London Fields and Victoria Park, which opened in 2019 and 2022 respectively.

The London Fields site also operates as a restaurant space between Wednesday and Saturday each week. Led by chef Rae Arends, it serves a menu of freshly made, hand-rolled pasta.
