Opening on Friday (10 February), the new site will serve an all-day Italian menu featuring specialty-grade Allpress coffee and made-to-order pasta pots.
The store design has been adapted to the high street customers, with more of a 'coffee shop atmosphere' and using a mural painted by a local Reading artist.
In-store and delivery options will be available to customers, with an office catering menu also set to be offered.
“We’re really excited that Reading will be our first flagship store outside of London as part of our regional expansion plans,” says Jim Attwood, managing director at Coco di Mama.
“We hope to bring something new, exciting, and generous to Reading's high street customers, and a brand that also gives back to the local community.”
In December, MCA, BigHospitality's sister website, reported that Coco di Mama was looking to take its first steps outside the capital towards building a nationwide presence.
The Azzurri Group-owned brand is focusing on expanding retail partnerships, taking its retail range nationwide, and broadening its offer.
Coco di Mama’s retail range is currently exclusive available in 50 Sainsbury’s stores in London.
The brand is also working on different formats and the flexibility of its offer as it trials a pasta counter on the M6 in partnership with Roadchef, with the view to build a presence in travel hubs. It is also in talks to franchise as it accelerates expansion.
