The Scottish-Italian chef will open Six by Nico Byres Road on 27 February in what will be the eleventh restaurant in his growing portfolio.
Located at the former record store Fopp, the 52-cover restaurant will the same Six by Nico format of serving a constantly evolving tasting menu, each of which is themed and tells a story. New menus are revealed two weeks before the next theme.
"We are thrilled to bring a third restaurant location to Glasgow,” says Simeone.
“Expansion in the city where our concept began is a significant step in our plan to grow further this year. We have quickly built an enthusiastic base of repeat customers in Glasgow, as well as an incredibly loyal customer base. We are excited to introduce a new restaurant design to both returning and new customers".
Simone is becoming a prolific restaurateur, with his restaurant group Sixco currently operating 10 Six by Nico restaurants in locations including Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, and Dublin, and a further three more restaurants under a different concept.
Last month the chef and restaurateur announced the group would open a further four Six by Nico restaurants in the UK as well as a new bar and bakery ventures in the first half of 2023.
The group also intends to expand internationally, with a venue in Dubai slated to open towards the end of the year.
Glasgow is home to the first Six by Nico, which launched in Finnieston in 2017. Its most recent new restaurant opened in Aberdeen.
