After two years marked by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic during which the Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland announced its new distinctions and awards digitally, the ceremony in March will herald a return to physical events in the UK for the little red book.
“After two years without being able to organise a physical event in Great Britain & Ireland, we are thrilled to be back with what should be a warm, exciting and friendly gathering,” says Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guides.
“The Michelin Guide team is on hand and busy organising a celebration to fully reflect the talent, commitment and resilience of the British and Irish gastronomic scenes – a celebration all the more welcome in the current challenging economic climate.”
In addition to the revelation of new Michelin stars and Green stars, other special awards covering a variety of categories will also be announced on the night.
The presentation will also be broadcast live via the Michelin Guide YouTube channel. The new selection will subsequently be found on the Michelin Guide’s website and mobile app, which displays for free the restaurants and hotels recommended by the Michelin Guide.
