The new restaurant will be located at Brampton Hut on the A1/A14 intersection in Cambridgeshire and feature dine-in as well drive-thru capabilities. It will also offer delivery with a separate pick-up window available for couriers.
“Consumers want easy access to brands they love, and our goal is to offer a variety of quick, convenient ways in which Wendy’s customers can enjoy our freshly prepared, made to order food anytime, anyplace, anywhere,” says Paul Hilder, SVP and managing director, Wendy’s Restaurants of UK and Canada.
The Brampton Hut restaurant will be owned and operated by franchisee Blank Table, marking Wendy’s second franchised traditional restaurant to open in the United Kingdom.
Blank Table has plans to open more Wendy’s restaurants in the southeast area this year, including locations in Wisbech and Cambridge.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Blank Table to the Wendy’s family,” adds Hilder.
“Our relationship with this team will be instrumental in helping us continue to quickly expand and scale our brand presence across the country.”
The announcement comes after Wendy's president and chief executive Todd Penegor told investors that the brand is 'excited for all the growth that’s ahead' for the UK market in 2023 and beyond.
Wendy’s has built up a footprint of almost 30 UK locations since re-entering the UK market in June 2021. They include 12 company-operated restaurants and numerous delivery kitchens.
