Steakhouse group Flat Iron will open its 12th restaurant in the capital this spring, in Kensington.

Located on Young Street, the restaurant will be close to Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park.

In keeping with the rest of the group’s restaurant, its hero dish will be the eponymous flat iron steak, which it sells for £13, with other menu items to include bone marrow garlic mash; truffled macaroni cheese; creamed spinach; and beef dripping chips.

The restaurant will also serve a rotating offer of beef specials including the smoked chilli cheese burger; Scottish bavette; and sirloin.

It offers one dessert option, a homemade vanilla soft serve ice cream, which is given to customers for free at the end of the meal.

Flat Iron operates London restaurants in Westfield, Covent Garden, King’s Cross, London Bridge, Borough, Shoreditch, Spitalfields, Soho, Waterloo, and Tottenham Court Road.

It also has a restaurant in Marylebone which is temporarily closed.

Flat Iron Kensington will open in March.
