Gourmet doughnut brand Longboys will launch a flagship site in Kings Cross later this month in the space that was once home to Le Café Alain Ducasse.

Founded in 2019 by high-profile pastry chefs Graham Hornigold and Heather Kaniuk, Longboys has had a presence in Coal Drops Yard since 2020 in a much smaller unit.

Longboys currently has two dedicated doughnut stores in London in Seven Dials Market and Boxpark Wembley with some of the brand's products also available from concessions within Harrods and Selfridges.

As the name suggests, the brand’s core product is finger doughnuts - an éclair-doughnut hybrid - with a light brioche base filled with compotes, fillings, glazes and toppings.

Flavours include raspberry rose lychee, lemon meringue pie, and triple chocolate brownie.

Longboys also serves gourmet soft serve ice cream, specialty coffee from Assembly and sodas.

Hornigold - who is best known for a long stint overseeing pastry at Hakkasan Group - said that the brand had come full circle.

“Kings Cross is home to us. We’ve been here for the past two years in our pop-up space, to launch our flagship site here is amazing. We are looking forward to giving our Longboys a permanent home in Coal Drops Yard and introducing our new food experiences and soft serve to the masses.”

Le Café Alain Ducasse and Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse - which continues to trade - opened in 2019 as the Kings Cross development launched.
