London’s Royal Garden Hotel has relaunched its ground floor Park Terrace restaurant as Origin Kensington.

Led by the hotel’s executive chef John Serhal, the new restaurant will serve ‘seasonal top-quality British cuisine’ in within a space that overlooks Kensington Gardens.

In addition to its lunch and dinner menu, the restaurant will provide a weekend ‘jukebox brunch’ that combines small plates and live music.

Sample dishes have yet to be released, but the menu will celebrate the best of seasonal produce and utilise suppliers including H. Forman & Son and Aubrey Allen.

Origin Kensington’s launch is said to mark a ‘further new chapter’ for the Royal Garden Hotel, which recently completed the first phase of a major redesign, creating a luxurious and friendly experience for its international guests.

The new restaurant will join high-end Chinese restaurant Min Jiang, which is located on the hotel’s top floor and also has views of Kensington Gardens.

“The launch of Origin Kensington will provide an exciting new culinary address for the neighbourhood and all of London,” says Royal Garden Hotel general manager Oliver Bateman.

“We are thrilled with the beautiful and relaxed atmosphere we have created and partnering with some of the country’s most outstanding suppliers has resulted in a fantastic seasonal menu championing British cuisine all year round.”

Launched in 1965, the Royal Garden Hotel is now part of Goodwood Group, which operates two hotels in Singapore.
