British seafood restaurant Goddard & Gibbs, which opened at One Hundred Shoreditch hotel in March this year, has closed.

The all-day restaurant was inspired by English fishing villages and seaside towns but was notable more for its large ceiling-reaching yellow sculpture in its dining than its food.

The space, within the 258-room hotel, will now be used to host private events.

The Shoreditch hotel was previously the UK outpost of American hotel company Ace Hotel until it was taken on by hotel operator Lore Group. It will still operate a number of  restaurants and bars including basement bar Seed Library from cocktail master Mr Lyan, and The Rooftop bar and terrace that takes inspiration from Palm Springs.

The hotel also has the Lobby Bar and the Coffee Shop.
