All-day dining restaurant and bar Dorothy & Marshall will open in the newly redeveloped Bromley Old Town Hall this autumn.

Chef Ralph Jones will head up the kitchen at the restaurant, which will be housed in the courthouse of the former Town Hall. The Grade II listed building, originally built in 1906, has been respectfully restored and will also contain 24-room boutique hotel Brama and co-working space Clockwise.

Jones, whose CV includes working with top chefs including Chris Galvin, Marco Pierre White, Garry Hollihead and Eric Chavot, has created a menu that celebrates classic British dishes. Menu items will include braised beef short rib with Guinness and black treacle, bone marrow mash, red cabbage; and baby artichoke, heritage tomatoes with Ragstone goat’s cheese, puff pastry tart.

Desserts will continue the traditional British theme with options such as golden Tate & Lyle treacle tart with raspberries topped with whipped almond clotted cream; and flamed baked Alaska with sloe gin blackberry sauce.

The restaurant will also serve a breakfast menu and cocktails throughout the day and evening.

The wood-panelled dining room pays homage to the building’s history with high ceilings and expansive radius windows along one side as well as wooden flooring and pictures and paintings portraying community life over the years.
