The well-loved neighbourhood restaurant, which is owned by Nigel Platts-Martin and Bruce Poole, the restaurateur team behind celebrated London restaurants Chez Bruce and La Trompette, says its last service will be Saturday 17 September.
“We would like to thank all of our wonderful guests and employees for supporting us over this period,” it says.
The Glasshouse opened in 1999 and won a Michelin star three years later in 2002, an accolade that it has held ever since. It is known for its modern cuisine, lack of pomp and ceremony and interesting wine list.
The kitchen is currently run by head chef Gregory Wellman, who joined The Glasshouse at the start of 2018. Wellman will be moving over to La Trompette as head chef once the restaurant closes.
