Caribbean restaurant Ma Petite Jamaica is opening a second London restaurant, in Shoreditch.

The jerk pitt and reggae bar is opening on the site that was recently vacated by fellow Caribbean restaurant Cottons, which is moving to larger premises on Hoxton Square.

Opening on Curtain Road on 25 August, the restaurant will serve a menu that will include small plates such as jerk wings; sweet potato and pumpkin fritters, coconut coulis and chilli jam; and spicy buttermilk chicken tenders as well as mains such as curried goat with rice ’n’ peas; jerk salmon with sweet potato and pumpkin mash, jerk sauce and callaloo; and red stripe chicken with basmati rice and plantain.

Sharing platters, rotis, and wraps as well as chicken, pork, bream and veggies cooked in a jerk pit will also be available.

Ma Petite Jamaica launched in Camden in 2015.
