First Restaurant Group will open restaurant Oak & Poppy in Hampstead this summer.

Launching in August close to Hampstead Heath, the all-day restaurant will be the group’s sixth venue in the capital.

Dishes on the menu will include fish tacos with pickled slaw and chipotle mayo and lemon sole with fennel salad, crushed potatoes and green salsa; maple, soy and lime glazed salmon with egg noodles, pak choy, shiitake mushrooms and sesame seeds; and a duo of beef burgers with cheddar, pickles and kimchi mayo.

Breakfast options, meanwhile, will include buttermilk hotcake with berries, ricotta and maple syrup and a PB & J croissant.

First Restaurant Group was founded in 2008 by Mitch Tillman and encompasses five venues across London. Its pub and rooms venues include The Grafton Arms in Fitzrovia, The One Tun in Farringdon and The Hayden in Notting Hill, and its restaurants include The Summerhouse and The Waterway in Maida Vale.

“We are thrilled to be opening our next venture in Hampstead, an area we feel would benefit enormously from an excellent all-day offering for locals, for any occasion,” says Tillman.

“The new site will continue First Restaurant Group’s commitment to offering high-quality dishes where there is something for everyone, delivered with excellent service in an inviting setting in which all are welcome."
