Notting Hill Gate restaurant ULI will launch a second site in the capital this year.

The Asian restaurant is opening on Marylebone’s Seymour Place as part of a number of openings at the Portman Estate that also include patisserie T by Tamara.

ULI originally launched on the All Saints Road in Notting Hill in 1997 before moving to is current home on Ladbroke Road. The contemporary Asian restaurant serves a range snacks, small plates, and mains using traditional Chinese, Thai, Malay and Singaporean disciplines.

Joining it will be patisserie T by Tamara, which will also be opening on Seymour Place later this summer. The patisserie will be the flagship venue for Cordon-bleu-trained pâtissier Tamara Al Saadi and will serve fusion cakes and pastries inspired by her Levantine heritage.

“It is fantastic that we have been able to develop Marylebone as a destination by adding occupiers that diversify our retail offering,” says Tom Knight, portfolio director at the Portman Estate.

“The expansion and arrival of new stores is a strong indicator that retail and hospitality in London is bouncing back.  We continue to encourage growth across our streets to further enhance our village-like oasis in the heart of the West End, providing an exciting offering for visitors, workers and residents alike.”

The Portman Estate comprises 110 acres of commercial, retail and residential space in Marylebone, and is home to restaurants including Basque grill restaurant Lurra, Japanese kaiseki restaurant Roketsu and Michelin-starred Mexican restaurant KOL.
