Marking US Independence Day, the openings will bring the American-founded fast casual brand’s UK portfolio up to 26 sites and follow recent openings in Brighton, Bristol and London’s Cambridge Circus.
The group says it continues to work to a strong pipeline of openings, with non-traditional concepts including drive-through locations planned for later in the year.
Designed by Harrison (Liverpool, Leicester and London) and AW Designs (Milton Keynes), the four new restaurants will each occupy premium, 2,500+ sq ft locations with new interior schemes referencing the brand’s US roots with exposed brick, industrial beams and the brand’s signature red colourway.
“We are delighted to be opening four new sites on 4th July, an incredibly special day in the US, where the Slim Chickens brand was born, says Satnam Leihal, CEO at BRG.
“As we now raise Slims in the UK, demand is overwhelming, which is why we are working to an ambitious growth pipeline here in the UK, and it’s fantastic to see such a positive response from customers across the UK. We look forward to bringing the same unique Southern hospitality and superior product to Bishopsgate, Liverpool, Leicester and Milton Keynes, and to celebrating the Fourth of July in style at our new locations.”
Slim Chickens was founded by Tom Gordon and Greg Smart in 2003 and currently operates more than 100 restaurants in the US. It launched in the UK in 2018.
