Next month will see the launch of London’s first empanadería - a restaurant dedicated to empanadas.

On Notting Hill’s Golborne Road, DE NADAS will offer 15 different hand-shaped empanadas with meat, vegetarian and plant-based fillings.

The space will also feature a wine room that will offer London’s largest selection of Malbecs and vermouths.

The pastry will be vegan and will be baked rather than fried. Meat based fillings will include beef, with olives, peppers and egg; and a riff on ham and pineapple pizza.

Vegetarian options will include caramelised onions and cheese; and blue cheese and pear while the vegan option is butternut squash and kale.

Bought individually or in boxes of six, 9, 12 or more, empanadas will be available to take out or eat-in. Lunch boxes will be offered from 11-3pm, Monday to Friday, and will include up to three empanadas with salad.

The empanadería will also feature artisanal coffees and an Argentinian deli stocking Argentinian produce.

DE NADAS was founded by Nico Buyo and Ñako Martinez in 2021. Argentinian-born Buyo has been a chef for over 20 years, working in Buenos Aires, Madrid and London. Ñako, who hails from Madrid, has a background the music industry and is the former Editor of Kerrang! Spain.
