Gura Gura, a brand-new Asian bar and kitchen concept, has signed at 19 Slingsby Place, The Yards, for its debut restaurant within London’s Covent Garden.

Set across two floors, the 2,900 sq ft restaurant will hold 110 covers and is due to launch in mid-October.

It will serve a mix of sushi, sashimi, dim sum and small plates, with signature dishes including lantern chilli prawns; Thai-style basil chicken; and bulgogi beef.

“I am very excited to be bringing this brand-new concept to The Yards, Covent Garden,” says Gobind Chona, founder and director of Gura Gura.

“This location puts us right at the heart of the West End, a bustling area and attracting both local and international visitors, to try our unique cuisine.”

Gura Gura’s interiors will be designed by Orphic Design and be ‘studded with Asian heritage’.

The restaurant’s entrance will also feature a wine tunnel, although cocktails will be core to Gura Gura’s drinks offering.

“Our distinct interior and ambiance, paired with great dishes and cocktails, will deliver a genuine dining experience and we can’t wait to open our doors later this year,” adds Chona.
