The thatched roof pub, located in the village of Radford Semele, will be the pub group’s fifth site in Warwickshire, joining The Rose & Crown in Warwick, The Star & Garter in Leamington, The Almanack in Kenilworth, and The One Elm in Stratford.
Work on a complete refurbishment of The White Lion has already begun with new interiors that are sympathetic to the history of the building and a newly landscaped garden with a covered pergola, sofas and dining tables.
The pub is due to reopen in mid June.
The White Lion pub will serve a menu of classic gastropub dishes including steaks and seafood alongside a daily changing range of specials and Sunday roasts.
“The White Lion is a beautiful, old pub in a beautiful village, and we are lucky to call it one of ours,” says Peach Partner, Sarah Robinson. “Since taking it on, we have got to work to give it the attention it deserves, to make it a great pub for everyone in the village to enjoy as well as guests from further away.”
“The refurbishment is making good progress. We can’t wait for the moment to come when we can welcome people back.”
