Artisan hot chocolate cafe Knoops say it intends to open 100 sites in the UK over the next five years, with its first central London site due open next month.

The company will open a site at 2 New Row in Covent Garden following a successful launch in Oxford earlier this year.

The new site marks the brand's first central London location, a milestone in its ambitious growth strategy to open 100 sites in the UK in the next five years, with 10-15 earmarked for this year, and 3,000 stores worldwide before 2030.

"We are excited to provide visitors and locals to Covent Garden a comforting treat in the form of a delicious hot or cold chocolate drink - to add to their memories whilst exploring the hustle and bustle of the city, or as a welcome break in their working day," says founder Jens Knoop.

Knoops, which specialises in hot chocolate, with a menu of 21 different chocolates, currently operates six venues in Oxford, Brighton, Rye, Kensington, Chelsea, and Richmond.
