The pub has reopened under the pub group's new franchise pub concept following a £320,000 investment and will be run by new franchisees Melissa and Steve Field.
The Globe, which was previously a Greene King managed pub, has been complete refresh throughout in line with the Hive Pubs brand and concept to create a modern look and feel with community at its heart.
“Taking on a Hive Pub has been an incredible experience for us. Greene King have invested in and led the transformation of the pub," says Melissa. "They sort out just about everything from back of house systems to stock. It means we can focus on running a great pub knowing we are guaranteed a franchise fee as well as share of turnover and bonus opportunities.”
The pub will offer a range of food and drink in line with the Hive Pubs branded concept, including a menu of pub classics. Sport will also be a key part of the offer.
Aimed at those with experience of running a pub, the Hive Pub franchise agreement gives licensees a ready to trade pub for £5,000 ingoing cost. Franchisees get a minimum guaranteed income of £20,000 plus income based on performance such as share of turnover and other bonus opportunities.
