Street food brand Street Greek is opening its fourth London venue, in Islington.

Located on Upper Street it is the first of several sites planned to open this year and joins Street Greek’s existing venues in Covent Garden, Fulham and Camden Town.

A further site is due to open in Liverpool Street on Artillery Lane later this year.

Street Greek, which follows a franchise model, is using the new flagship Islington venue to introduce a new menu of healthier options as well as new tech investments that will subsequently be rolled out across the franchise estate in the coming months.

Menu items include traditional souvlaki such as those made with grilled lamb, pork, chicken, falafel, and halloumi alongside a selection of meat and cheese skewers; loaded fries and sides such as popcorn haloumi; lemon rice pilaf; mini spanakopitas (spinach and cheese pastries); calamari; and mac and cheese logs, and a range of salads.

“Islington is full of choice and the residents have a real passion for socialising and food so we can’t wait to serve our food and see the people enjoying themselves more and more as this time of year it seems everyone comes out to enjoy the spring sunshine,” says Street Greek director Kristina Koncova, who founded the company in 2019.
