Itamar Srulovich and Sarit Packer have found a new home for their Honey & Co Middle Eastern restaurant on Bloomsbury’s Lamb's Conduit Street.

The small but influential Warren Street restaurant closed earlier this year after 10 years following the landlord’s decision not to renew the lease.

The new iteration of Honey & Co is expected to open this Spring and will be on the former site of Spanish restaurant Cigala, which closed its doors in 2019.

With sister sites Honey & Smoke: Grill House and Honey & Spice: Food Store all within walking distance of one another in Fitzrovia, Honey & Co Bloomsbury sees the chef duo move their original concept to a new neighbourhood.

“We will be stretching our wings and moving more than a street away – very unusual for us! But we’re really excited to join the Bloomsbury community,” says Srulovich.

Honey & Co.’s new location will build on the much-loved dining experience of the original site. Familiar dishes will appear through the seasons including falafel, tahini, slow-cooked lamb, BBQ tahini aubergine and the pair's famous feta and honey cheesecake for dessert.

It won’t be a copy-and-paste job, though with the couple see it as an opportunity to do things "bigger and better".

“We’re bringing everything we can with us: our staff, our famous tiles, our signature dishes; plus everything we’ve learned over the last 10 years," says Packer. "We’re adding more space, wine by Keeling Andrew & Co, the wine company from the guys behind Noble Rot, our new neighbours, better extraction – which our team are very excited about – and we might even put tablecloths on this time.”

“The street feels just right for us. Honestly, being surrounded by all our favourite places to eat and shop is a dream come true. Not great for our bank balance, but good for our souls,” adds Srulovich.
