Soho Bars Group will open a live music-focused bar and restaurant in Notting Hill later this month that will offer a food menu overseen by the team behind Richmond Indian restaurant Chatora.

Billed as “all-singing and “all-dancing”, The Act will host live vocal acts as well as pop-up performances by casts from the West End productions.

The space will feature deep green interiors, heavy velvet upholstery and maximalist wallpaper with exotic animal motifs throughout. The Act will have 180 covers, with a bar and banquette seating.

The food menu will showcase authentic Indian cuisine with a contemporary twist, with dishes including semolina shells with pomegranate and honey yoghurt; paneer tikka; and quail keema naan.

Designed by Benji Purslow, European ambassador for Heaven Hill Distillery, The Act’s cocktail menu includes the EIphaba (Bombay Gin, Agwa coca leaf liqueur, apple, cucumber and mint); and the Elder Price(Bacardi Spiced Rum, Mr Blacks Coffee Liqueur, fresh coffee, cherry liqueur and homemade vanilla syrup).

The project is led by the founders of Soho Bars Group, Siobhan McGill and Keith Todd, whose current portfolio includes Freedom Bar and Soho Residence.

Joining them on this latest venture is Michael Belle, who has led operations at a number of other London venues including Soho Bars.
