Gordon Ramsay Street Burger to make Scotland debut
As first revealed by MCA, BigHospitality's sister site, the group will open within the Ribbon building on levels four and five of the development.
The 5,600 sq ft double-height unit will feature a games lounge, DJ booth and interiors designed by Russell Sage Studio, reflecting the Gordon Ramsay Restaurant Group's aim to 'elevate' its Street Burger concept for the Edinburgh venue.
“We are delighted that Gordon Ramsay has chosen a flagship space within St James Quarter for Street Burger’s Scottish debut,” says Ed Corrigan at St James Quarter.
“Edinburgh is clearly a city close to his heart and we think our guests will be wowed by what he and his team have got planned for the space.”
Gordon Ramsay launched Street Burger's first site at One New Change in the City of London back in December 2020.
The group has subsequently grown the brand to eight sites, primarily based in the capital although it has also established locations in Woking and Reading.
At the same time, Ramsay has been working to expand both his Street Pizza and Bread Street Kitchen brands.
It all reflects his ambition to 'create a billion-dollar dining proposition', the chef having laid out plans back in August 2020 to open 50 new UK sites.
