The new Union Street restaurant, which will take over the former Topolabamba restaurant space, will be chef patron Nico Simeone's first in North East Scotland.
Six by Nico's concept revolves around a six-course tasting menu that changes every six weeks and is themed around different places, memories and ideas.
"We are thrilled to bring Six by Nico to Aberdeen this Spring," says Simeone.
"Expansion into Aberdeen signals our first move into Scotland's North East and a significant step in our plan to grow further this year. In the nine locations where we operate in the UK and Ireland, we have quickly established an enthusiastic base of repeat customers, and we intend to and look forward to doing the same in Aberdeen."
Simeone launched the first Six by Nico in Finnieston, Glasgow in 2017 and subsequently opened his second site in Edinburgh in 2018.
In 2019 the group underwent a period of significant growth, expanding outside of Scotland and opening restaurants in Belfast, Manchester, and Liverpool in quick succession.
It has since established two London restaurants in Fitzrovia and Canary Wharf, respectively; and most recently in Dublin, Ireland.
Born in Glasgow to Italian parents, Simeone, who previously cooked at Number One at Balmoral, launched his debut restaurant 111 by Nico in Glasgow in 2015.
