The Hostmore-backed group has acquired the former Café Rouge location on Frederick Street in the Scottish capital, which spans approximately 3,500 sq ft.
Featuring a large bar and lounge area adjacent to a restaurant space, it will seat more than 100 guests inside with an additional 26 covers available on a heated outside terrace.
First announced in late 2020, 63rd+1st made its debut in May last year in Cobham, Surrey, and has since gone on to launch in Glasgow and Harrogate, North Yorkshire. A fourth site, in Cambridge, is expected to open in the coming months.
The concept is inspired by the original Fridays that was founded in 1965 in Manhattan, New York, by salesman lan Stillman on the corner of 63 Street and 1 Avenue, and which featured in the Tom Cruise film Cocktail.
