The group is taking on a 1,537sq ft site on Battersea’s Northcote Road that will have 35 covers inside and seating for a further 10 outside when it opens at the end of March.
It will follow with with the opening of a large 70-cover restaurant (with an additional 30 covers outside) in the new 23-acre Wood Wharf development at Canary Wharf in May.
The menu at both restaurants will feature all the Patty & Bun classics, alongside craft beers and cocktails. In addition, the menu from Patty & Bun's sister brand SideChick will be available for delivery from both sites.
“Expanding our business is always something we are excited about, and we feel Clapham reflects our brand ethos in the best way and will be a great addition to our collection of sites,” says founder Joe Grossmann.
“Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and with our great ecosystem of suppliers, we are excited be joining a new community.”
"The ability to both serve Patty and SideChick from both is something we can’t wait for. Very much looking forward to being part of the community and bringing that P&B love to the neighbourhoods."
The Northcote Road site was secured by property agent Shelley Sandzer. “There has been increased demand from consumers for much-loved West End brands to open in non-central London locations,” says Shelley Sandzer’s joint managing partner Ted Schama.
“Localism and hybrid working are well-established, and it’s important that diners not only have their favourites embedded within the bright lights of the West End, but on their doorstep too.
“Patty & Bun is taking the opportunity to expand to a trendy area of the capital and the move will bring growth to the business and be a great addition to the Clapham and Battersea community.”
The two new openings will bring the total of Patty & Bun restaurants to 11, with 10 sites in the capital and a further one in Brighton.
