Baton Berisha has left his role as chief executive of the Ivy Collection after just one year in the top role.

Richard Caring has requested his senior executive team report directly to him after the departure of Berisha, who had led Caring’s collection of brands including The Ivy, Bill’s and Birley clubs since the end of last year, according to The Sunday Times.

Berisha was promoted from managing director to CEO of The Ivy Collection, Bill’s Restaurants, Caprice Restaurants and The Birley Group in December last year.

He joined the group as Ivy Collection operations director in 2014, before becoming managing director in 2019, overseeing the successful expansion of The Ivy into a national restaurant chain.

Berisha is the latest in a string of senior departures at Caring’s restaurant empire, which spans venues such as Scott’s, Annabel’s and The George. David Campbell, former executive chairman of Bill’s, left in January 2020, while Duncan Garrood left in late 2018 just 10 months after joining. Directors Andy Bassadone and Nick Fiddler left earlier in the same year.
