Itsu will make its European debut with the opening of a restaurant in Belgium.

The new restaurant will launch tomorrow (29 November) in Brussels Airport as part of a deal between the Asian-inspired bran and Autogrill, a global operator in food and beverage services for travellers.

The new venue, which is located in Terminal B within the airport in the restaurant area of the Gallery of Light, is the first of its restaurants to be situated in a major international travel hub in mainland Europe.

It will have seating for 46 diners along with ‘grab and go’ takeaway options and will have extended opening hours to meet customer demand, serving food from 8am to 8pm every day.

“We are delighted to export our incredible brand and food to mainland Europe in partnership with Autogrill. The prestigious location within Brussels Airport will introduce the itsu experience to travellers from across the globe,” says Itsu founder Julian Metcalfe.

“We have a franchise partner that shares our commitment to quality, accessible food, at an affordable price.”

The move is part of Itsu’s push of its franchising model that launched earlier this year. In August it opened its first franchise site at Berkshire’s Reading Gate Retail Park, which is operated by franchise partner Heart with Smart.
