DOMA Hospitality’s delivery-only pizza brand Gallio has chosen Canary Wharf for its first bricks and mortar site.

Launching early next month within The Atrium Kitchen in Cabot Place, the 3,000 sq ft site will seat 96 covers and trade seven days a week from 11am – 10.30pm for lunch and dinner. From 3 January, Gallio Canary Wharf will add breakfast to its menu, and open from 8am.

Developed with input from chef Ben Tish, who parted ways with The Stafford Collection last month, the brand launched in South London in summer 2020 offering pizza made with a selection of ancient grains.

Toppings include marinated artichoke hearts with sun-dried tomatoes, kalamata olives and mozzarella; spiced lamb with labneh, rose harissa, guindilla peppers and fresh mint; and aubergine with house pickles, signature red sauce with fire-roasted piquillo peppers, za’atar and wild rocket.

The restaurant menu will also feature a range of small plates, Mediterranean bowls, flatbreads, vibrant salads and desserts. Pizzas start from £7.80 and small or large salads are priced at £6.90 and £9.50 respectively, with desserts from £3.50.

The interiors will be ‘distinctly Mediterranean in style’ and ‘echo the brand’s philosophy of bountifulness and social eating’ with design details including terracotta and handcut glazed tiles, brass tables, hanging baskets and an olive tree.

Gallio Canary Wharf will also offer click and collect, pay by table app and delivery via Deliveroo within a 1.5-mile radius of the restaurant.

“Gallio aims to offer guests an escape to the Mediterranean with every visit. Diners are looking for healthier choices, better ingredients, fast service and great value, we deliver that guilt-free meal – lighter, cleaner and more sustainable – without compromising. We are excited for the brand’s future,” says Gallio managing director James Porter.

DOMA Hospitality is part of a larger luxury hospitality group called BHL Global, that includes The Stafford London hotel, its Game Bird restaurant, Sicilian restaurant Norma London, and the Michelin-starred Northcote in Lancashire.
