His recently formed Membership Collective Group will open a hotel and members' club in Manhattan's The Johnston Building, which was previously home to NoMad.
The Ned NoMad is expected to open its doors in summer 2022 offering a mix of members-only and public spaces, including 167 bedrooms, a public bar and restaurant, and Ned’s Club - a member’s club giving access to a rooftop bar and terrace restaurant and mezzanine bar.
The property was built in 1903 as a store and office building. The original architectural features will be honoured, with interiors designed by the Soho House Design team.
Created in 2017 by Soho House Founder and CEO Nick Jones, The Ned originated in the former Midland Bank headquarters, designed by Sir Edwin 'Ned' Lutyens in 1924 and is one of the capital's largest and busiest venues.
The space includes private members’ club Ned’s Club and a private events floor, alongside ten restaurants and 250 bedrooms which are available to the public.
Ned’s Club membership gives access to dedicated spaces such as members-only bars and restaurants, health clubs and rooftop spaces. The membership team also curates a program of monthly events, ranging from talks with thought leaders to seasonal parties and members’ spaces at festivals.
The Membership Collective Group operates a string of venues around the world including 30 Soho Houses.
