The restaurant group, which operates 11 London venues and which specialises in brunch, had initially set a target of £1m but is now aiming to double it via funding on platform Seedrs. It will be Daisy Green’s third crowdfunding and will help accelerate the business’ growth across the capital, it says.
“We’re astounded by the support that we’ve received for Daisy over the last 18 months. To emerge from the pandemic bigger, stronger and more in demand than ever gives us confidence in our ambitious expansion plans” says founder Prue Freeman.
The business says it ‘has defied sector woes’, with revenues up 67% on pre-pandemic levels. It has reported run rate revenues and site EBITDA of over £15m and £4.4m respectively.
In August 2019 the company revealed it had successfully crowdfunded more £2m to open new restaurants, more than four times its initial £500,000 target.
Venues in the restaurant group’s portfolio include Bondi Green in Paddington; Scarlett Green and Ziggy Green, both in Soho; Timmy Green in Victoria; and Barbie Green in Barbican.
