Located in the former Oracle Bar with views across the River Aire, the new restaurant will have an open kitchen in the centre of the dining room as well as a wine room and an outside terrace.
Home launched in 2017 in Leeds city centre in a location near Kirkgate Market and is regarded as one of the city’s best restaurants. It serves an ever-changing menu of eight to 10 courses from Wednesday to Sunday.
The new restaurant, located in the Brewery Wharf development, will also open Wednesday to Sunday.
“We’ve had some amazing times on Kirkgate, but now we’ve outgrown the restaurant and think it’s time to continue our new journey in a space that really suits who we are now and what we do,” says Cottam.
“We want to be at the heart of new developments in Leeds, and this is the perfect space to expand our offer, welcome in new guests and keep doing what we do best. With its unique terrace, central kitchen and riverside location, Brewery Wharf is just the start of an incredible new chapter for Home – we can’t wait to get started.”
Speaking to BigHospitality in November 2020 Cottam revealed that she was looking for a new location for Home in a drive to continue to improve her restaurant business.
She said she was looking for a “more polished” venue for the restaurant that would open it up to a wider range of customers.
“I’m looking into a fantastic new venue for Home. It will have more covers and let us do things differently and better and build on what we do really well,” she said.
“I think it is time Home lives in a place in which she deserves to be, in more polished surroundings.”
As well as running her flagship restaurant Home with business partner Mark Owens, Cottam operates gastropub The Owl in Kirkgate Market.
Last summer she also launched contemporary bakehouse, dining room and wine cellar, Cora, in Boston Spa, that serves an eight-course menu as well as bakery and patisserie-based brunches, lunches and afternoon tea.
