The course will focus on delivering accredited NVQ Level 2 training, encompassing food and beverage service, customer care, general guest services, an introduction to business management, supervision, and team leadership with the aim of offering individuals the prospect of a long-standing career in the hospitality industry.
In tandem with this, students will also undertake barista and mixology training alongside a Wine and Spirit Education Trust Level 2 qualification.
Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge with regular producer visits, masterclasses, and vineyard trips. On successful completion of the course, students will undertake a week long stagiaire at Simon Rogan's Michelin starred Hong Kong restaurant Roganic.
“Welcoming the first cohort of fourteen students to the Simon Rogan Academy is a hugely positive step as we begin our journey together,” says Rogan.
“Alongside this cutting-edge learning programme for chefs, I’m pleased to be able to launch a similar industry leading learning package for front of house colleagues.’’
‘’The industry has struggled in recent years, especially because of Covid, but this is the first of many steps we will take in helping to create a truly professional industry, an industry in which people can achieve their true potential, whilst being fully supported and mentored every step of the way by their peers.’’
As with the Simon Rogan Culinary Academy, the Front of House Academy offers fully accredited courses designed to equip students with the necessary skills and confidence to be able to work in an ever-evolving sector and enjoy a rewarding career as an integral part of one of the UK’s leading restaurant groups.
Applications for the academy are open and will close on 14 November, with an open day being held on 18 October at Rogan’s two Michelin-starred restaurant L’Enclume.
