Moro founders Sam and Sam Clark are to launch a live music night at their hackney restaurant Morito next week (14 September).

Taking place within the pair’s subterranean Downstairs at Morito bar, Morito Music will take place every Tuesday evening over two seatings (7-9pm and 9.15-11.15pm).

Tickets are bookable in advance, priced at £30 person inclusive of a ‘generous menu of Morito’s favourite sharing plates and tapas dishes’.

The menu includes the likes of labneh and flatbreads; Spanish tortilla and alioli; chopped salad with crispy chickpeas and zataar; wild sea bass wrapped in vine leaf with pilaf and cacik; lamb chops with anchovy butter; and chocolate and olive oil mousse.

The stylish, dimly lit space features royal blue banquet seating set beside Morito’s signature blue and orange walls.

Seating is centred around a distinctive bar lit from behind to be reminiscent of a Mediterranean sunset, set alongside a warm copper bar top with bright accents of Seville orange found in the custom-made bar stools and banisters.

Curated by local musician Crispin Forster, Morito Music will showcase the ‘wealth of talent and music diversity’ in East London with the line-up set to feature acoustic guitarist Raphael White, cellist Ruby Moore and Forster himself.
