After many months of closure in lockdown, many operators are finding the return to full trade and events challenging, as neighbours struggle to adapt to living near to a busy pub and bar operation.
As a result, the number of noise complaints and challenges are rapidly beginning to rise, but to help fight that, BigHospitality's sister title the Morning Advertiser has teamed up with licensing specialists Poppelston Allen to give you the tools you need to hold your own in a dispute, and ideally avoid it in the first place.
The free online training seminar runs on Tuesday 14 September from 10am and will give you the insight you need to avoid problems.
Hosted by Poppleston Allen’s experts Helen Ward and James Anderson, the live online session will cover common complaints that licensed premises may receive from neighbours and how to deal with them. We look at how to prevent complaints occurring, best practice in dealing with them when they do happen and the informal and legal outcomes of noise and other statutory nuisance complaints
Ed Bedington, editor of the Morning Advertiser, says: “This free event is a great way to pick up some good ideas and advice on how to avoid problems, and if you can’t avoid them, how to handle them.
“The return to trade has been especially challenging for operators of all varieties and the last thing anyone needs is to end up in a dispute with the neighbours. I’d urge all of you to register for a chance to pick up some extremely valuable free insight, help and support.”
