Restaurant group Patty & Bun’s burgers will be available to order from online supermarket Ocado from later this week.

Following on from the release of its burger DIY kits, which were created last year during the national lockdown, two products - the Ari Gold kit and a pack of two patties - will be available from 9 September.

The Ari Gold kit will be priced at £15 and the pack of patties will be available for £5.99.

“At the beginning, the DIY kits were there to support the eco system of our suppliers and stay engaged and relevant with our fans. As things evolved through the past 18 months since we launched the kits, it was clear that we had created a product and experience that people really loved and took ownership of,” says Patty & Bun founder Joe Grossmann.

“Equally, the ability to reach new customers and fans outside of the catchment of our existing restaurants was incredibly exciting, experiencing the brand in a whole new format but with the same love and quality ingredients we put into each restaurant.

“We wanted to use our existing platform to springboard into retail where we can bring the Patty & Bun experience to a wider audience.”

Patty & Bun is among a number of restaurant groups to have their products listed by Ocado. In February Hawksmoor signed a deal with the online retailer to list a number of its steaks and last month Pizza Pilgrims joined forces with Ocado to enable customers to buy its ‘at home’ DIY pizza kits from the platform.
